How to Use Cirrata IM
In order to use the Cirrata IM you
must first launch the Cirrata IM client The Cirrata IM is run from the
Cirrata IM Control Window The Cirrata IM Control window will
display all of the users that are relevant to the logged in party as well as
their status (i.e. Available, Away, etc.) Managing Users: The users are listed in 2
categories: 1.
Cirrata Users: these are other Cirrata Users
registered to the specific Cirrata Appliance 2.
Access Users: these are users that are created
by the logged in party using access manager The logged in party can
communicate with both types of users Other parties using Cirrata IM are
restricted to communicating with only users in their group Sending an IM Message: 1.
Click on the party you want to send a message to 2.
A Chat Window
will open 3.
Enter text and hit Send 4.
If the recipient party is online they will receive the message
immediately 5.
If the recipient party is not online the will receive the message the
next time they log in File Transfers: 1.
Click on the party you want to send a file to 2.
A Chat
Window will open 3.
Click on the Menu button in the upper left hand side of the
chat window 4.
Select Transfer File 5.
A File Transfer Window will
Open 6.
Enter or use the browser to select the file you want to transfer 7.
Click on Send The recipient party will receive a notification that a
file is being sent to them, they will need to accept before the file is
transferred Other Functions: Click on the Cirrata IM button in
the lower left hand side of the Cirrata IM Control Window to open the other
functions menu |
