Testing
Your Services: It is important that after you have installed the Cirrata
Client that you test your services The following simple tests will allow you to confirm your
services are installed properly Testing
Your Cirrata Folders: 1.
Create a Test File on Your Desktop 3.
Copy a File to Your Web Folder - You can Drag and Drop 4.
Open the Copied File, Edit it, and Save it back to Your Web Folder 5.
Copy it back to Your Desktop 6.
Open the File from Your Desktop Testing
Access Manager: 1.
Go into Cirrata Access Manager 2.
Go into Manage Users and create a new user (name and password) 3.
Go into Protect New Directories and create a new directory 4.
Protect the new directory and allow the newly created user access 5.
Close you session of Internet Explorer 6.
Open Internet Explorer and go to Cirrata Folders 7.
Log in as the newly created User 8.
Go to the newly created folder and log in as the new user Testing
Your Remote Desktop Access: 1.
Check
to see which Desktops are active on Your Cirrata Host 2.
Select a Port that is not being used and Start
a Desktop Session 3.
Check again to see if Your Desktop is listed as Active Desktops 4.
If you have access to another computer, try to
access your Desktop from that computer Testing
Backups and Scheduler: 1.
Check the Scheduled Backups
Section Status Area on the Cirrata Tool Bar to
see if you have Backups scheduled 2.
Double click on the Backups line in the
Status Area for more information on your Backups 3.
If you are on Your Local Area Network try running some Backups |
